Cider Goes From Viral Sensation To Global Fashion Force With Gen Z Insights!

In 2020, Yu Oppel co-founded Cider, a clothing brand with a modest marketing background. Fast forward three years, and Cider, having secured $140 million in funding, hit the spotlight when K-pop sensation Jennie from BLACKPINK wore a $16 floral top, turning it into a best-seller. However, Cider Clothing isn't relying solely on viral moments. The brand, shipping to 130+ countries, recently opened its first pop-up store in New York's SoHo, marking its venture into brick-and-mortar. Chief Marketing Officer Yu Oppel emphasized the role of Gen Z employees in shaping the brand's global marketing strategy. Cider's global approach extends beyond pop-ups, focusing on worldwide out-of-home advertising and fashion events. The brand has hosted over 20 events in cities like Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, and Mexico City, featuring games, DJs, and influencer collaborations. Clare Thompson, Cider's Global Head of Marketing, highlighted the brand's authentic engagement with influencers, valuing their unique representation of the diverse Gen Z customer base. In a recent music festival-themed campaign, Cider collaborated with NYC-based influencer Haley Kalil, leveraging her 3 million Instagram followers. The brand utilized digital content and city-wide posters, showcasing its dedication to diverse influencer partnerships. Cider doesn't just stop at traditional social media engagement. With 5 million Instagram followers, the brand maintains a public Discord server connecting with over 15,000 fans. This tight-knit community provides valuable feedback and fosters a sense of belonging among consumers. Discord played a crucial role in the launch of Cider's plus-size line, Curve, now constituting over 15% of the brand's business. Expanding its online presence, Cider sells through platforms like TikTok Shop in the UK and is venturing into the US market. The brand's 600-strong team across 15 countries, many of whom are Gen Z, offers unique insights into regional cultures and trends, allowing Cider to tailor its approach. As Cider's New York City pop-up opens its doors, the brand eyes permanent stores in the US, marking another milestone in its journey from viral success to a global fashion force shaped by the pulse of Gen Z. Taylor Swift Announces “Eras Tour” Movie Release on Birthday

Swifties are the happiest people in the world right now! When Taylor Swift wrapped her concert tour in Brazil, she announced that her concert movie “The Eras Tour Concert” would be available for streaming on and after December 13th! It is her birthday on December 13th! The coolest marketing move, if there ever was one, is this. This year has been one of the biggest ones for Taylor Swift; from winning the title “Artist of the Year” by Apple Music to re-recording two of her previous albums, she is doing it all. https://twitter.com/taylorswift13/status/1729130503712743596?s=20 The Eras concert tour has set many records and become one of the biggest blockbusters, setting several box-office records! One of her most popular albums, 1989, which had several records, was re-recorded by her again, further adding to her achievements and success. Taylor has not only created a huge fan following worldwide but has also proved herself time and again to be intelligent, smart, and highly talented. She went on to announce that three songs, “Wildest Dreams,” “Long Live,” and “The Archer,” are added to the concert movie streaming for you at home. The beautiful American singer has also announced that the different countries across which the streaming will be available will also be announced soon! In her statement, she mentioned Canada, apart from the US, where people could stream her Era Concert movie. https://twitter.com/usweekly/status/1729153242729251278?s=20 With a master-level marketing strategy, Taylor has created another opportunity to earn from the content she did once while performing in the concert. Around the world, Swift had sold out stadiums, and people had paid for tickets. Then she released the concert movie across theaters, where people paid money to see her perform. Now, people will be paying for it again while steaming the performance while sitting in the confines of their home. The streaming platforms that will benefit from this development are Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV.So, people pay three times for the same content and are not complaining! What a move, Swift! Taylor Swift Sends Flowers to Kelly Clarkson After Re-Recording

Kelly Clarkson has recently told the media about the sweet gesture Taylor Swift shows each time she re-records her albums. The host of Kelly Clarkson Show revealed to E! News, “You know what's so funny? She just sent me flowers. She's so nice. She did. She was like, 'Every time I release something'—'cause she just did 1989. I got that really cute cardigan, too." As we know, Kelly had suggested in a tweet back in 2019 that Taylor should re-record her music after Scooter Braun's company Ithaca Holdings LLC acquired her former label Big Machine Label Group, and got hold of the rights to the masters for her first six studio albums. And that's precisely what Taylor did - she re-recorded her music. The Breakaway singer insists however that Taylor would have re-recorded even if Kelly had not made the suggestion. https://twitter.com/PopCrave/status/1722801460901986399?s=20 Kelly went on, "I love how kind she is though. She's a very smart businesswoman. So, she would have thought of that. But it just sucks when you see artists that you admire and you respect really wanting something and it's special to them. You know if they're going to find a loophole, you find a loophole. And she did it and literally is, like, the best-selling artist I feel like of all-time now." The American Idol ex has praised the efforts of Swift fans for supporting Taylor all along. Kelly concluded, "It's so cool to see a fanbase really get behind her in that too because it's important. She's known for being such an incredible songwriter and the soundtrack to a lot of people's lives and that's her life. So, you should have the option of owning that." Kelly is now the daytime talk show host of her show and is also the owner of SiriusXM channel Kelly Clarkson Connection. She told E! at SiriusXM’s Major Next Generation event, "We called it Kelly Clarkson Connection because there is literally no connection with all the music I'm playing except that I like it. I've always wanted since I was a kid—I didn't understand why Whitney Houston and Nirvana couldn't be played on the same channel. Like, I like both, so why can't we do that?"
