The Best Party Drinks for the Holiday Season:

It can be tempting to take the easy way out and only choose the typical holiday drink lineup.

However, once you see these decadent options, you won’t want anything else at your party.

Here are seven prime recipes for cocktails at holiday parties that are sure to win over some grinches.

1. Ginger and Berry Champagne:

Berry Champagne

A classy drink for a classy party, this fruity yet spicy beverage is the perfect party drink idea.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz. berry-infused cognac
  • 1 oz. alcoholic raspberry ginger beer
  • 1 oz. champagne
  • 3 dashes of Black and Blue Bitters
  • 2-4 fresh berries for garnish

Instructions

Add all of these ingredients into a champagne flute and gently stir. Then, follow with a few fresh berries to garnish.

For the berry-infused cognac, simply add one pint of fresh berries to jar with two cups of cognac. Allow this to infuse for at least one week before enjoying.

2. Chocolate Peppermint Mimosas:

Chocolate Peppermint Mimosas

Any chocoholics out there? The winter season is the perfect excuse for chocolate-peppermint heaven – in the form of a drink, of course.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. semisweet chocolate chips
  • 9 candy canes
  • 6 oz. peppermint schnapps
  • 1 bottle champagne

Instructions

Begin this party drink recipe by melting the semisweet chocolate chips in a double boiler, or in the microwave.

Then, crush three of the candy cases, while leaving the remaining six whole. Pour both the melted chocolate and crushed candy canes onto separate plates.

Dip each champagne flute into the melted chocolate and then the crushed candy cane. Add in 1 ounce of peppermint schnapps to each glass, followed by champagne. Garnish with a whole candy cane in each flute.

3. The Winter Old-Fashioned:

Ingredients

  • 2 oz bourbon
  • .5 oz spiced simple syrup
  • 2 dashes orange bitters
  • 2 dashes aromatic bitters
  • Cinnamon stick

Instructions

Start off by spicing the simple syrup in a small saucepan. Simmer the syrup in a 1:1 ratio with cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, clove, and cardamom.

Stir all the ingredients together with ice, then strain. Garnish with a fresh orange peel and a whole cinnamon stick.

4. The Ultimate Mistletoe Margaritas:

This red and festive margarita is an ideal frosty beverage for those nights that you’re craving something icy, sweet, and seasonal.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. whole cranberries
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 3/4 c. lime juice
  • 1 wedge lime, for rim
  • 2 c. cranberry juice
  • 12 oz. tequila
  • 8 oz. triple sec
  • 6 c. ice
  • Mint, for garnish

Instructions

Begin by mixing the fresh, whole cranberries with one-fourth of a cup of lime juice in a medium-sized bowl. Then, drain the lime juice and add in two tablespoons of granulated sugar.

With the remaining sugar and salt, mix them on a small plate. Wet the margarita glass with the lime wedge and dip generously into the plate of salt and sugar.

Blend the remaining ingredients of tequila, cranberry juice, triple sec, lime juice, and ice on high-speed until smooth.

Pour the mixture into the glass, garnish with a sprig of mint and cranberries, and enjoy this pink festive drink with good company at a small party venue.

5. Spiked Hot Cocoa with Rumchata:

This spiked hot chocolate is best enjoyed next to a toasty fire and a friend. A cocktail that’s guaranteed to make you feel warm and comforted.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
  • 6 oz. chopped bittersweet chocolate
  • 1/2 c. Rumchata
  • 1/3 c. warm caramel
  • Whipped cream
  • Cinnamon sugar
  • Cinnamon stick

Instructions

In a small saucepan, begin simmering the milk. Slowly whisk in the sugar, vanilla, and cocoa powder until no lumps remain.

Stir in the bittersweet chocolate until fully melted, then add the Rumchata and remove from heat.

In a small dish, pour the warm caramel. Line each cup with the caramel by dipping it onto the dish.

Carefully pour the alcoholic hot chocolate into the glasses or mugs, and top with whipped cream, cinnamon sugar, and a whole cinnamon stick for a spicy and sweet warm cocktail.

6. Classic Mulled Wine:

Classic Mulled Wine

Mulled wine is holiday time classic that is far from boring. Traditionally brewed at many of the Christmas Markets of Europe, this is a treat you won’t soon forget!

Instructions

  • 2 oranges, peeled & juiced
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 white cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 2-star anise
  • 2 bottles of Malbec

Instructions

Begin by simmering half of a bottle of the Malbec on the stovetop all of the spices, sugar and orange juice.

Once the sugar has fully dissolved, strain the mixture and then in a large saucepan, combine it with the remainder of the wine. Be very careful not to boil the mixture as this can make it lose alcohol.

Serve in heat-proof cups and garnish each with a fresh orange peel and a cinnamon stick.

7. Cinnamon Whiskey Sour with Cranberry:

This simple combination is sure to wow a crowd, with its pretty pink hue and classy taste only a whiskey sour can bring.

Ingredients

  • 2 c. fresh cranberries
  • 2 c. filtered water
  • 2 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 whole cinnamon sticks
  • 3/4 c. simple syrup
  • 3/4 c. whiskey
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1/4 c. orange juice
  • 1/4 c. lime juice
  • 1 c. ice

Instructions

Begin this recipe in a large saucepan by bringing the cranberries, filtered water, granulated sugar, and cinnamon sticks to a slow boil on medium heat. Then, reduce the heat, and cook until the cranberries are soft.

Remove from heat and carefully strain the mixture with a fine mesh into a large bowl. Allow it to cool for at least ten minutes before moving to the next step.

Boat Party

I’m On a Boat!: How to Throw a Boat Party the Lonely Island

Get your towels ready, it's about to go down! A top-notch party can be the highlight of anyone's year. And while it's totally possible to have a killer party on land, you'll be sure to wow your guests when you take this party offshore. But it's not as simple as changing the location of your shindig. In fact, there's a lot of planning you should do if you're considering throwing a boat party for the ages. Grab your swim trunks and your flippie-floppies and dive in to find out what you have to do to throw a truly amazing party on a boat. Pick a Theme: Sure, you could go with a tried and true nautical theme when you've chosen a boat party, but why keep it simple? You should use this occasion to really spice up your party style and invite your friends to do the same. If this is a party where a fun theme is acceptable, consider doing an 80's prom night party. If your friends are fans of mysteries, give a Clue-themed party a shot. Invite your friends to dress in their best party clothes and let loose, have a good time. Once you've selected a theme, follow the trends of all hipster weddings of today and chose a hashtag! This is a great way to build some buzz up around your party and to give your guests a collective way to share their photos of the event with each other. Choose Your Colors: You'll really be able to wow your guests if you manage to color coordinate your party. Think about all of the little elements that add up on the boat you'll be partying on and find a way to incorporate them into your theme. Some great, hip color schemes are navy blue and gold, ultra-violet and white, peach and mint, and purple and green. Once you've picked your colors, you can start to collect things that will go with them. Don't forget things like napkins, pillows, and blankets! Plan a Menu: Planning a menu for a boat party can be tricky. You've already got so much on your plate, you'll probably want to think about some kind of catering. When you're planning your boat party menu, keep it simple. You don't want an overcomplicated dish to give you or your caterer a headache. Besides, sometimes simple finger foods are the most fun when you've got other fun things to do at a boat party! Get Your Drink On: Now that you've got your menu planned and your theme picked it, it's time for the most fun part of the night: the drinks! There's nothing wrong with setting up a BYOB rule, especially if you're already dishing out a fair chunk of change for your menu and other aspects of this boat party. But if you're inclined to serve a little booze as well, here are a few ideas for you to choose from: Jelly shots shaped like fish bowls Blueberry-limoncello punch Watermelon Daiquiri Dark and Stormy Paloma Mojito No matter what you decide to serve for your party, remind your guests to drink responsibly. You aren't trying to be a buzzkill, you're trying to keep everyone safe! Decorate: You might think that a beautiful sea backdrop is enough to make your boat party a beautiful success, but there's a lot more you can do to make your setting pop! Keep your color scheme in mind while you're picking out your decorations. Put up colorful flags, layout pillows and blankets, and don't forget the minor details! They're what make the get together special and stand out in your guest's minds. If you're feeling extra adventurous, try making some of your own decorations by hand! A beautifully hand-lettered sign and handmade pennants that reflect the theme and color scheme of your party will be sure to wow your guests. Plan Your Guest List: Here's the fun part: deciding who you want to invite to your party. It's not just as simple as putting a few names on a list and hoping for the best. If you want your boat party to go off without a hitch, you're going to want to take a few precautions before you decide who's invited. First of all, is this a work thing or a friends thing? Because if you have a few rowdy friends, you might not want to introduce them to your boss unless you're absolutely sure your boss is comfortable with seeing the shenanigans that happen after a few too many mojitos. It's also a good idea to take a good look at your friends' list and see what the relationships between the others are. The last thing you want is a dramatic showdown starring spurned lovers or jealous ex-friends in the middle of your boat party. It's supposed to be a laid-back and relaxed day! Whether the Weather is Fine: It's also a solid idea to have a plan in case the weather turns nasty. Consider getting in touch with a local restaurant or coffee shop to be your backup just in case the weather turns foul. It's also important to remember that not everyone on your boat will be comfortable being on the water. Have a quiet area where nervous guests can go if the waves get choppy! Be Safe: It might not seem to be very representative of The Lonely Island to have a whole section here about safety, but it's important nonetheless! It should go without saying that you need to obey all safety laws and make sure common sense prevails over everything else. Sure, boats offer a sense of fun and a relaxed atmosphere, but there's a very real danger of drowning or injury if something were to go wrong. Make sure your guests know where the life vests are and have a brief chat before the festivities really kick off about some of the safety measures they should follow if need be. You can view here some tips for new boat owners if you're not sure what to look out for. The Boat Party of the Century: Do you have your nautical themed pashmina afghan ready? Because it's time to get out there and host your own boat party that The Lonely Island would want an invite to. All you've got to do is do a little pre-planning in order to get sailing today. How To Nail Your First Superyacht Interview

Due to the increasing competition in the superyacht industry, it might get challenging to succeed in the interview and get your dream job. A reliable yacht crew agency can help you build an impressive CV that, along with the following tips, can help you get through that tough interview session. How To Nail Your First Superyacht Interview: Do Some Research You can surely impress the interviewers if they find that you've done some research about the yacht before the superyacht interview. This shows that you have taken your time to learn about the company and, thus, are interested in the job. Every superyacht is different, and you have to find what yours is looking for in its candidates. Prepare a brief and sharp introduction for yourself that doesn't include your achievements but your qualities and how you can be an asset for the yacht. Revise standard superyacht interview questions and the questions that you think you will be asked and practice them in a roleplay with a friend or family member. Dress Smartly Your appearance and dressing sense make the first impression on the interviewers, and as it is always said, the first impression is extremely crucial. Therefore, you have to dress neatly and smartly. Wear a neatly ironed polo t-shirt or shirt with a pair of navy blue or cream trousers. Wear your hair up, nicely and neatly. Also, make sure that your nails are well-manicured. Wear minimal makeup, and for boys, go clean shaved. Maintain Appropriate Body Language Companies don't wish to hire employees who are lazy and always slouching. Therefore, you must maintain a smart body posture with your neck and vertebrae up-straight. Also, confidence is the key to success. Be confident when you walk into the room and greet your interviewers with a pleasant smile. Try to communicate with them while maintaining natural eye contact, as this demonstrates your interest and confidence. Use hand gestures and neck movements to express yourself. Communicate Effectively Be a good listener while your interviewers are speaking and nod your head as they are speaking. Show interest in what they are saying. Stay calm and collected while they question you and take your time to answer their questions. Enjoy the process of the superyacht interview. Also, ask a few questions from the interviewers as well as this can break the monotony of a one-way conversation, and it is always good to show that you are interested in joining that position at the yacht. Be Honest Remember that your interviewers are experienced persons, and they can easily judge if you tell a lie. Thus, it is best to be honest, as honesty can help you to build their faith in your commitment. Also, never try to pretend anything and just be yourself. If you don't have any past yachting experience, just be clear about it and tell them that you are a fresher and wish to learn more. Your expression, interest, commitment, and honesty can help you grab the job. Read Also: Essential FAQs Before Buying a Villa What is The Procurement Management Process?
