The Pirate Bay

The first thing that comes to our mind when we talk about the PirateBay website is VPN. The two terms are interlinked. You cannot think about them individually. After all, Pirate Bay is a torrent website giving users access to illegal content, and you need a VPN to mask your IP address.

If you have stumbled upon this article, it means that you are looking at one of two things:

  • A solution to access the PirateBay website even if your ISP has blocked it.
  • You want to know the other way of accessing thenewpiratebay.org without paying the high VPN subscription fees.

If this is what you want to know, keep reading. This article will answer these questions and cover more Pirate Bay topics.

Torrenting in general and The Pirate Bay, in particular, have played a major part in growing up us millennials. The time when we started the download before going to school or colleges and then returning home to find the download has been completed

Pure Happiness!

The Pirate Bay allowed the developing and underdeveloped countries to cope with all the Hollywood movies and TV series.

Banning Of Pirate Bay

Just like any good day has an end, so does Pirate Bay. So let’s start from the first.

Pirate Bay made its appearance in 2003. It was a major part of an internet freedom project that a Swedish Activism Group took on. It emerged as a response to the growing censorship and hegemony of the internet.

For the next couple of years, torrent websites ran smoothly, only to be disturbed by the government in 2009. The government started banning torrent websites against the CopyRight Laws, Intellectual property Laws and were associated with hackers and cybercriminals.

Although the banning of the torrent website due to laws was just a cover-up. The real reason was that the entertainment media never wanted their content to be accessed without paying the price.

After a rough fight, with money-power and lobbying, the entertainment industry convinced ISPs to block the DNS and URL. This is the reason why you need a VPN to access the torrent website in your nation.

Proxy Websites: Access The Pirate Bay Without Using VPN

After the entertainment media successfully banned the torrent website, this is when the term proxy websites were coined to resolve the issue. The proxy websites are nothing but the mirror website of the originally banned websites. They serve the same content as their parents’ websites.

If experts are to believe, it is said that the original owners created the proxy websites to limit the pressure on the original website. When too much traffic is on the parent website, it gets divided into different proxy websites.

There is one additional advantage you can reap from the proxy website. As we have already said, to access the original torrent website like The Pirate Bay, you need to use VPN. However, you can access the website without any VPN services if you use a proxy website.

Advantage Of Using A Proxy Website

Proxy Servers

We all know VPN’s main purpose is to mask your IP address. Hence, while doing so, the speed of the download decreases. However, with the proxy websites in the frame, you don’t need any VPN services. This escalates your downloading experience.

Here are a few advantages you get from choosing a proxy website over VPN services.

1. Free & Affordable

The main purpose of torrenting was to offer content for free. If you are using VPN, you are paying $10, at least, as a monthly fee. However, with the proxy website, you are getting content for free.

2. Better Speed

VPN services affect the speed. But with proxy websites, you don’t need to use VPN. Hence, you can stream at a better speed.

3. Work Reliably

Even though you are using VPN, it is always possible that you won’t be able to connect to the website at times. Connection breaks, speed is slow, and you will end up server fishing. But with a proxy website, you can say goodbye to these problems.

Take Away

There is a reason why a website like Pirate Bay is still in business. This shows that they have a steady stream of loyal fans and followers. These are the fans and followers that believe in freedom of the internet and all the content that is placed on the internet.

In recent years, there has been news about the Pirate Bay website looking to find that middle ground to work on their privacy and policies.

Why Use Safety Valves? Introduction to Safety Valves

A safety valve is one of the important mechanical devices used in several industrial applications to protect systems from overpressure. Excess pressure build-up in the system can cause explosions, fires, and damages to critical components and products. Safety valves are designed to stop these problems by reducing or removing excess pressure from the system. They are specially designed to be actuated by the fluid being controlled; hence, it works when pneumatic or electronic safety controls fail. Below, we have covered more about safety valves: types, working principles, applications, selection criteria, and everything in between. Safety Valve Working Principle The general working mechanism of safety is simple. When the pressure of a system exceeds the maximum allowable working pressure (MWAP), safety valves quickly open to remove the excess pressure before it even builds up. These valves are fast-acting, and they open fully until the system pressure comes back to normal. Most safety valves have a smaller inlet port and a larger discharge outlet. This ensures that any overpressure can be quickly corrected without damaging the sensitive machine parts. The detailed working principle of safety valves from opening to closing depends on the design and application of the valve. We've highlighted more on this below. Types of Safety Valves and Use Cases There are three main types of safety valves. These are: Spring-loaded safety valves Pilot-operated safety valves Safety valves with balanced bellows a. Spring-loaded Safety Valves This is one of the most common types where the valve is held closed by a spring, and the balance between the input force and the spring force determines the closing and opening of the valve. Most spring-loaded valves used in everyday applications come with a flat poppet valve, but those designed for specific liquids and gases come with varying valve shapes. Some even come with a lifting chamber that provides more lift, reducing the time it takes to eliminate the excess pressure in a system. Spring-loaded valves for vapor and gases often open before the MWAP is reached, and the valve is lifted at least 50% at the MWAP. The problem with this type is increased backpressure that interferes with the safety of the valve. Backpressure is defined as the pressure that builds upon the outlet of the safety valve as the fluid medium flows out. Most spring-loaded valves are available for pressure ranges between 1 bar and 1400 bar. Figure 2: (A) Expansion chamber, (B) Spring, (C) Disc, (D) Nozzle ring (E) Nozzle. b. Valves with Balanced Bellows This type of safety valve comes with metallic bellows that increase the poppet valve's surface area. The benefit to this is reduced backpressure hence more safe operation. The spring mechanism is also isolated from the fluid media; thus, there's no undesirable influence on the spring force. That said, most valves with balanced bellows are designed to handle backpressure not exceeding 16 bar. c. Pilot-operated Safety Valves A pilot-operated safety valve has its popper valve held onto the nozzle by the inlet pressure, helping avoid leaks or undesired openings. When the inlet pressure is lower than the maximum working pressure, the safety valve will always remain open. However, as soon as the inlet pressure goes beyond the response pressure, the valves open instantly, allowing the media to flow and reducing the pressure. As soon as the pressure comes back to normal, the valve closes. All three types of safety valves find applications in different industrial settings. Some of the common areas where safety valves are used include oil and gas, manufacturing, food processing plants, refineries, pressure booster systems, and more. Choosing a Safety Valve Before picking a safety valve in the flooded market, you should always consider the following: The response pressure or the maximum allowable working pressure. The backpressure at which the valve can operate without causing safety issues. The discharge capacity of the safety valve. The valve's operating temperature. Valve and sealing material. Besides the above factors, you should also check the certifications required for your specific industry. For instance, safety valves used in the oil and gas industry will vary significantly from those used in the beverage and food industry. Some of the common certifications and standards in the market include ASME, TUV, and ISO 4126. Summary A safety valve is an important mechanical device that helps solve the problems associated with overpressure. There are three main types of safety valves: spring-loaded valves, pilot-operated valves, and those with balanced bellows. When the inlet pressure is higher than the maximum allowable working pressure, safety valves open up to avoid pressure build-up. This, in turn, avoids damages, fires, explosions, and injuries. The right choice of safety valve will largely depend on your unique needs. Some of the critical factors to consider are response pressure, operating temperature, seal and valve material, discharge capacity, and backpressure. You may also want to do thorough research before choosing a safety valve from a given manufacturer. For instance, check the manufacturer's reputation, warranty, industry experience, customer reviews, etc. Read Also: The Fishing Industry Needs More Sustainability Awareness 8 Ways you can Improve Safety in a Workplace 7 Things to Do After a Car Accident in Fort Worth For Your Protection and Safety LPG Safety Tips and Precautions for your Home

Commercial Boiler

How Servicing for Your Commercial Boiler Works

If you have a business, you could be making use of a commercial boiler. A commercial boiler would often be classified as such if the unit has a power rating of 70kW and above, and if your boiler unit produces this much power, then it is already categorized as a commercial boiler. You should also know that your commercial boiler needs to be regularly serviced by a professional. With regular boiler servicing, you can be sure that your property will not have any disruptions due to boiler issues, and you will not be left with more expenses in the end. But there is also a proper way to have your boiler serviced. First of all, it needs to be done by someone who is aptly qualified, such as an engineer who has a Gas Safety card. You should check that they have the right qualifications and can do commercial boiler checks and inspections. But when you have your commercial boiler serviced, here's how a proper inspection should be done. Step 1: a visual check: The technician should check that the pipework of your boiler, as well as your flue and the actual boiler, are correctly installed, and they should do a visual check of both the external and internal components as well. The technician should also check for the right ventilation as well as do a visual inspection of the flame and check for any signs of leaks or corrosion. Since you are operating a commercial boiler, they should also check that it follows regulations for non-domestic property. These regulations include gas safety rules as well as building regulations, by-laws for water, and European and British standards as well. Step 2: a check of components: The engineer or technician should then remove the casing of the boiler and inspect each internal element or component. Some parts which need to be inspected by the engineer include the gas flow and pressure, the combustion and flue, the heat exchanger, the burner, the main injector, the electrical connections, the spark probe, the seals and fans, the electrodes, the condensate pipe and trap, and the safety components or devices. After this, the engineer should clean the boiler’s insides to remove any blockage or debris. Step 3: the tests: The engineer should then perform tests to check that the boiler is functioning correctly according to Gas Safety regulations for installation and use. If any issues are found (e.g. gas leaks, faults, and parts which are damaged), the engineer should make a note of this in the report. Step 4: the report: Once they have thoroughly inspected the boiler and all its components, the engineer should give you a report of their findings and the process and checks they made, as confirmed by an experienced commercial gas engineer in north London. If there is an issue, it should also be in the report, particularly if it involves replacement or repair. If your boiler violates any regulations pertaining to Gas Safety or building regulations, the engineer should include this in the report as well. It is essential that you ask as many questions as you can and voice any of your concerns while the gas engineer is there. This is your chance to ask for guidance and advice as well – it is, after all, your business property, and by taking advantage of a full check and inspection, you are adequately protecting your assets too.
