The question paper comprises of five sections namely Language Comprehension, Intelligence, and Critical Reasoning, Mathematical Skills, Data Analysis, and Sufficiency and Indian and Global Environment. Don’t forget that there is also negative marking in the entrance examination. For each incorrect answer -0.25 marks will be deducted.

The Mathematical section of the exam usually consists of questions for Arithmetic section. Among Data Analysis and Sufficiency, questions are asked mainly from Data Interpretation (DI). The level of Analytical Reasoning is usually moderate and the English section comprises a mix of Verbal and RC questions. Only those candidates will receive the call for the interview who clear the cut off of MAT 2019. Before applying for the management institutes, candidates need to check the eligibility criteria and the selection procedure of the particular institute.

JEE Main 2018- Importance of Practicing with Previous Year Questions

JEE Main is the largest engineering entrance exam of the country. Due to sheer competition in the exam, it is not easy to crack it. However, there are many things candidates do or can do to get an edge over others. One of these things is to solve past year question papers for Joint entrance Examination which has become an important, rather essential part of preparation. Solving previous year papers can be beneficial in the following ways: Best Guidance about Important Topics The biggest question in the mind of JEE aspirants is that which are the most important topics. Well, you can have a lot of teachers and seniors telling you important topics and they can give accurate guidance as well. But isn’t it better to know these things directly from the papers? If you scan through the papers of the last 15 years, you will never need to ask anyone about the important topics for the exam. Therefore, while you are looking to start your preparation, just go through the past year papers once. Just note down the number of questions coming from each topic (don’t solve those papers for now), and there you go. You will have a self-made list of the weightiest topics for the exam. Read More: Free Student Guide To Help You Achieve Exam Success Perfect Source of Practice There are numerous sources from which you can practice questions for the exam such as books, mocks, coaching material and whatnot, but actually, the best source of practice will always be the past year papers. See it this way, on one side you have some random questions from all the topics, and on the other hand, you have questions that have actually appeared in the paper, and you know which one is better. Thus, previous year papers become the best source of practice. But we suggest that you do not start solving them right at the start of your preparation. Practicing with these after completing your entire syllabus will be a better option. Read More: How To Crack Civil Service Exam In One Attempt These Boost your Confidence Most people join coaching for JEE Main but coaching institutes generally provide study material that is way beyond the level of the exam as JEE is about concepts and not about all the toughest science problems of the world. Due to such high-level questions, many candidates tend to lose the confidence and past year papers can be the savior for such students. The questions asked in the actual exam are not as tough as those witnessed in mocks or coaching material. Thus, relevant questions take your confidence to another level, which is a very important factor of preparation. These are the Best Mocks, Ever! Taking mock tests have become an essential part of preparation these days. Many students enroll for national level mock tests to practice and know the level of their preparation. But there is always a problem with mocks regarding the relevance of their level of difficulty. Some candidates feel that the mock tests they enrolled for were not up to the mark, and some say it was above the required level. But what if we tell you about the best and the most relevant mock test series. Yes, the past year papers are undoubtedly the best mocks you can appear for. If you solve 10 papers as mocks, you would have appeared for the exam 10 times before the actual test. Isn’t it great? So use past year papers as mocks and you have the optimum level of practice you need. The ‘Repeated Questions’ Scenario Although it is not the ideal way to think, many a times questions from past year papers get repeated in the exam so if you go through these previous year papers, you will be able to solve such questions quickly. Although such repetition is not very frequent, even if you get just 1 or 2 questions repeated, isn’t it a great bonus of 4-8 marks. So why miss those 8 marks? How to Make the Best Use of Past Years’ Papers? Well, solving past years papers is always of great benefit, but you can maximize the benefit by applying some simple tips. Here is what you can do to make the best use of these papers- First: At the beginning of your preparation, scan through the papers of at least past 15 years. Note the important topics here. Second: After completing your syllabus, these papers should be your first preference for practice. Third: If you see any type of question(s) getting repeated, note it down separately, go through it during your final revision. Fourth: You can also prepare some strategies by referring to these papers. Fifth: Solving every question is not necessary (until of course, you want to score 330 or more). Look out for questions which are the most doable ones. We hope you have understood the importance of past year papers from above-mentioned information. So go through these and nail JEE Main 2018. Ten Interview Tips that Might Surprise You: The Medical Edition

For many, interviewing for new physician employment or placement is a nerve-wracking experience. However, it doesn’t have to be! Here are ten interview tips for medical professionals that will help smooth the way to your new hospitalist jobs in Ohio, Pennsylvania or any other area around the world. 1. Prepare (Yes, Even More!): Sure, you’ve read the job description for the position you’re interviewing for, and you’re knowledgeable about your capabilities and your specialty.  That’s not nearly enough. Read also: How To Crack Civil Service Exam In One Attempt First of all, it’s a good idea to prepare yourself for each interview by doing some in-depth research on the practice you’re interviewing with. A quick glance at the website is good, but there’s much more you can do. Plug the practice’s name into a search engine and see what else there is to know. Do they participate in education, charity, or research? How involved in the community is the practice? Not only will this help you ask meaningful questions during your interview, but it will also give you a head’s up about the practice’s organizational culture. 2. Dress the Part: You’re not going to show up in sweat pants… we hope. But did you know you can be too overdressed as well? Or that the way you dress might suggest a conflict with the practice’s company culture that you wouldn’t intend to advertise? A three-piece suit might be overkill, especially at practice with younger physicians. A wacky tie might be a bad idea if the practice values a serious demeanor. Or, these things might earn you brownie points with the interviewer. The point is: you really can’t know for sure. Keep it classic and professional with a business suit in traditional color—this goes for men and women alike. 3. Know That It’s Not Just the Interviewer You Need to Impress: Did you know that some practices send out a survey to everyone you interact with on interview day? Well, even if you know for a fact that this one doesn’t, don’t forget that it’s really the entire office that’s doing the interviewing, not just HR or one other doctor. Maybe the head of the medical practice isn’t going to ask the receptionist her opinion, but you can bet your bottom dollar that if you make a very poor impression on her, she’ll bring it up herself. Be courteous to everyone you encounter. 4. Ask The Right Questions: For your first interview, you want to spend as much time on questions that tell you more about the practice, its policies, and its culture. And don’t forget about the practical things: the levels of support staff doctors can expect, the staff hierarchy and reporting structure, the technological resources you’ll have at your disposal (or not), the on-call coverage policies, and so forth. Asking about these things presents you in a professional light, and gives you a great deal of information about what actually working for the practice might be like. 5. Write Your Questions Down: If you’re thinking, “I’ll never remember all of that!” don’t worry, because our next tip will help you out big time: write your questions down and bring them with you. While you may think it makes you look unprepared, the opposite is true: you appear to be a well-organized, detail-oriented person, and that’s just what you want. 6. Practice a Practice-Centric Attitude: Until you’ve actually received an offer, it’s not a wise idea to ask a lot of questions about benefits and the like during the interview process. Asking about the base salary prior to the interview is fine—there’s no need to waste their time or yours if it’s not suitable.  Everything else can be left alone until the actual negotiating begins. This shows you’re more interested in the practice than your own gain, and that you don’t have a me-me-me attitude. Read also: Comic Relief for College Students 7. Don’t Dis Your Last Employer: No matter how much you dislike your last employer, you absolutely should not say anything negative about them in the interview. You don’t need to lie—just keep your phrasing as neutral as possible. Being a negative Nancy gives you no advantage and can be very detrimental. 8. Project Confidence: The key to projecting confidence is moderation. Be professional and friendly.  Don’t fidget or slouch. Answer the interviewer’s questions and then ask a few of your own—keep the conversation going. 9. Don’t Forget to Follow Up:  Actually, start following up before you even leave the premises! A simple “when can we touch base” or asking the interviewer how they’d like to proceed is fine. 10. Silence Your Devices: Don’t forget to silence your phone or other devices before the interview. It’s distracting (not to mention rude) to be receiving calls or notifications during the interview process.
