Watch TV Online

In 2010, 88% of American households paid for TV service. In 2017, only 79% did and this downward trend is predicted to continue.

Why is this happening? One of the biggest reasons is that it’s possible to watch great quality television online through streaming.

But in today’s crowded landscape, it can be tough to know which streaming services will work best for you! That’s why we created this ultimate streaming guide to help you navigate all the various options.

Check it out below!

Netflix :

Netflix

Cost: $8 a month for a single screen, $11 a month for two screens, $14 a month for four screens at once.

Netflix started the streaming revolution and is still one of the biggest players in the industry.

Binge-watching TV series started on Netflix because for the first time you could watch your shows on your own time and watch as many episodes in a row as you wanted.

No longer did you have to wait for a TV network to air your favorite programs. If they were available on Netflix, you could pause and play as much as you wanted to and watch at any hour of the day.

The other great news about Netflix is that there really is something for everyone! It has a huge library of movies and TV shows, from dramas to comedies, and from documentaries to kids’ shows.

Another cool thing about Netflix is its original content offerings. Over the past few years, they have started making a ton of original shows and movies.

Ever heard of Stranger Things? Orange Is the New Black? Narcos? These are all Netflix original series that are super well-reviewed by critics.

And with a Netflix subscription you know you’ll continue to receive amazing content. In 2018, they’ve committed to spending about $7 billion on creating more original shows and movies.

Hulu :

Hulu

Cost: $8 a month with ads or $12 a month without ads.

Hulu is the other original streaming service that started the cord-cutting phenomenon. And they’re still going strong today.

Hulu is a great way for cord-cutters to still access broadcast TV shows. So if you’re considering getting rid of cable but don’t want to miss out on new episodes of your favorite shows, Hulu might be for you.

This is because, for as low as $8 a month, you can still watch new episodes of many of TV’s hottest shows. The only thing is that they are available on Hulu the day after they air on broadcast TV. So you do have to wait a day, but it’s incredibly cheaper than a typical cable bill.

Hulu also has a huge library of shows and movies, many of which aren’t available anywhere else thanks to exclusive streaming deals. They’ve also started creating original content in recent years.

Some of their shows, like The Handmaid’s Tale, have even won Emmys and other awards.

Amazon Prime Video :

Amazon Prime Video

Cost: $99 per year or $11 per month for Amazon Prime. A video-only plan only costs $9 per month.

If you’re one of the millions of Americans with an Amazon Prime membership, did you know that you have free access to Amazon Prime Video? If not, you’re missing out!

Amazon Prime Video is another one of the big streaming services. Here’s what they have to offer:

  • A large catalog of movies from the past 40 years
  • A good amount of TV series from broadcast TV
  • A growing library of original series as well

You also get access to Prime Music and some free books through Amazon Kindle.

And last but not least, if you’re a Downton Abbey fan, you’re going to want Amazon Prime Video. This is because they have exclusive streaming rights to this popular British series.

Another Streaming Guide Item: ESPN+

ESPN+

Cost: $5 a month or $50 for an entire year. If you want the full NHL seasons or MLB.TV baseball content, that’s an additional $25 a month.

As you might have guessed, ESPN+ is for the sports fans out there. You’ll get all access to a wide range of games. This is especially great for fans who want to add out-of-market hockey or baseball games.

If you have a certain college sport you like to watch that doesn’t get a lot of traditional airtime, you’ll be able to find it here as well. Or perhaps you’re into a niche sport like ice skating or rugby.

ESPN+ is where you’ll find coverage!

The good news is that ESPN+ is now available in the ESPN app which means you can watch it on iOS and Android devices, as well as through Chromecast and Apple TV to watch it on your smart TV.

UGETube :

UGETube

Cost: Free If you’re a big fan of guns and the gun industry, then UGETube is for you. UGE is short for the Utah Gun Exchange and this site is dedicated to content all about guns.

It’s basically like Youtube but for gun-related content. But because users can upload content, the categories of video have recently been expanding to include music, pets, comedy, and more!

Check out their site for more info.

CBS All Access :

CBS All Access

Cost: $6 a month with ads or $10 a month for ad-free.

For only $6 a month, you can access all of CBS’ shows with CBS All Access. This is a cost-effective way to still access your favorite shows without having to pay for an entire cable bill.

You can also live stream CBS content in 124 markets across the country. And guess what? For most of their current series, you can also watch all the previous seasons.

The other perk is that CBS has announced the creation of original content for its CBS All Access users. In the next 12 months, there will be six or seven new series only available through this service.

You can also access Sunday and Thursday night NFL games that air on CBS through CBS All Access.

Final Thoughts :

Now that you’ve gone through our streaming guide, it’s time to make some choices! If you’re considering getting rid of your cable or satellite TV plan, what streaming services will work best for you?

The good news is that many of these services offer free trials so you can test them out before taking the plunge.

'Breaking Bad'

Why ‘Breaking Bad’ Is The Best Ever TV Shows

The overall impression that this show has left in the hearts and minds of many is one that comes with the territory. It is very interesting to see the extent of how situations can change how a person deals with life, much less the effects it has – most which are never planned. Walter White did not set out to be a meth manufacturer, but the circumstances he found himself in gave him no choice. If you want a crash course on being an entrepreneur and the challenges that come with being one, look no further than Breaking Bad. Easily one of the most popular shows in television history, it not only offers a glimpse into the life of drug addicts, teaching on drug addiction like drug and alcohol rehab resources PA but also the businesses that fuel the drug trafficking trade – and that is worth looking into (even if you are not a drug dealer). It is important to have a product or service that stands out from the competition : If there is an aspect that was helping Walter in the drug business, it was his insistence for perfectionism. That was the reason he made crystal meth that had such high quality – in fact, at a level of 99 percent purity, with a characteristic blue color. That was the secret to his success, and he consistently delivered on his promise, leading him to work with more drug dealers that wanted his stuff. He even consistently reminds Jesse that the product they make will not be substandard, and he sticks to this rule. As an entrepreneur, the key to having a successful business or brand is exactly that – making sure that the product or service you offer is of the best quality. You want people to spend money on your product, so make sure you are providing the best. Taking control of distribution : During the starting stages of a business, the entrepreneur does almost everything. This can be a good or a bad thing, depending on how you handle it. Walter has the same situation on his hands. He has the knowledge of making the drug, but he does not stop there – he wants to have control of the distribution as well, therefore eliminating the cases of ‘middlemen’. Sometimes for a business, that is the way to go regardless of whether you are starting or at the advanced stages – a similar real-life situation being that of Apple Inc. You need to be passionate about what you do : Walter White was a very passionate man when it came to chemistry and teaching high school students the subject. It translated into his work of ‘cooking’ crystal meth – one could tell he had a deep understanding of what he was doing. So many people are in jobs that they are not passionate about, and some entrepreneurs are unfortunately in businesses they do not enjoy. However, the secret to enjoying your work is to have a passion for it, and it will give you the drive to accomplish the goals you have set for your business and yourself. Having a team is important : No man is an island – and it applies to business as well. Running a business takes a lot of dedication and hard work, and it is very difficult to make it on your own. The dynamic duo of Jesse and Walter teaches us the value of having a solid team behind you and your brand. The two individuals worked very well together, despite them having very different approaches to the business. That already teaches you that taking on the complete responsibility of operating a business alone is a huge task and you need some help. Delegating tasks to others and holding each other accountable will help all the people involved to grow. This is similar to how these two pushed each other to get their responsibilities done. The networks you gave are just as important as the product you sell : Walter was a brilliant man with the best product – but he did not have the negotiation skills of Jesse. That means that he would not be able to succeed if it was not for the help of Jesse since his ability to network and build relationships was key to business growth. The networks you have are vital to the growth of your business, and it will allow you to grow the business to the next level. You will need the right people to achieve this, so make sure you as an entrepreneur prioritize that aspect. It is important to realize you have much in common with your competition and enemies : In the series, Walter’s brother-in-law, Hank, is an agent of the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration), who stops at nothing to arrest drug dealers and manufacturers. That puts him in direct opposition to the goals of Walter as well as the business itself. In addition, the introduction of Gus in the later episodes of the series posed a direct threat to Walter’s interests, since he is just as ruthless in dealing with competition as Walter is, and he even threatens to kill him at some point in the story. All these threats, in addition to other problems that Walter faced throughout the series, made you realize that all these threats were mirrors of Walter’s character – ruthless, determined and dedicated to the goals they want to achieve. Be patient with the people you are dealing with because it is essential to your growth : There are business transactions you will not enjoy, and that is a guarantee you must live with as an entrepreneur. However, those uncomfortable choices come with the territory. Some clients will annoy you, while others will be very difficult to deal with. The difference is that social preferences need to be kept aside when dealing with such issues, as they are more important at that moment - priorities. Final thoughts : You do not need to see Breaking Bad to get the important lessons it teaches you – it shows that most inspirations come from the most unlikely of places. His enterprise was illegal, sure, but the lessons he teaches are not, and they can truly help you to grow your business. 8 Things You Can Do With Your Smart TV Besides Watching Movies

Televisions have come a long way — from mechanical televisions, color televisions, to smart televisions. They have progressed not only in terms of appearance and features but also in terms of viewing experience. The latest LED televisions come with a wide range of features. They offer great video and audio quality. They also consume much less energy compared with the traditional televisions. People have been investing in these televisions because of the amount of money they can save with electricity bills. Once you have made the decision to get a new television, let's say a smart television, what other things can you do with it besides just watching movies? It's called a smart TV for good reason, right? Here are few other things that let you take advantage of your smart TV besides merely watching movies. Try any of these things, and you are sure to look at your new television in a completely different way. 1. Access the Internet Smart TVs are integrated with Internet connectivity. Now, you can access media services and applications with the use of your wide-screen TV. There are two ways that let your smart TV connect to the Internet. First, you can use its built-in Wi-Fi by connecting it to your home network. Second, you can use a direct wired Ethernet connection. You can check details on wgtvboxes.com. Most smart TVs in the market are Wi-Fi-enabled. Just make sure to check this feature before you get one. 2. Surf the web Surfing the web is always made better with a wider TV screen compared to your regular computer screen. You can do this by hooking your computer to your smart TV with the use of an HDMI cable. This cable is capable of mirroring your computer activity directly to your TV including web browsing and viewing YouTube videos. Check out the site cnet.com for some tips on buying the perfect HDMI cable. Hooking up your computer to your smart TV just takes two steps. First, set your TV input to “HDMI” with the use of your remote control. Second, attach the special cable to both devices. Just keep in mind to use a special cord or adaptor that is compatible with both your devices. A lot of smart TVs already come with built-in Internet browsers. As long as you have a fast Internet connection, you can now surf the web by only using your remote control and no longer your computer. 3. Stream videos and live feeds If you cannot find a good show that is currently being aired, you now have the choice to stream videos straight to your TV. With your smart TV's Internet connectivity, you can watch videos from several applications such as YouTube. You can also watch images and videos by simply plugging in your USB memory stick. Live feeds have also become one of the most fascinating videos to be featured on the Internet. You can now get a glimpse of the mouth of an active volcano on your 60-inch screen. Try downloading the Ustream app from ustream.tv to get free access to countless live video streams across the globe. This app lets you view some obscure places of the world such as aquariums and deep wilderness and even some sporting events. 4. Play video games without any console Smart TVs now come with casual and fun mini-games that you can play without the need of any console. You can easily download these games from their corresponding app stores. You can play them with the use of your remote control. It may be hard at first, but you will eventually get used to it in the long run. 5. Stay fit If you don't have any time to go to the gym, then your smart TV can help. Currently, a lot of smart TVs have built-in fitness and training apps. Take, for example, Samsung's Fitness VOD app that comes with hundreds of bodybuilding, yoga, and aerobics videos. It also comes with a personal trainer that guides you through every workout routine. The good thing about this is no gym memberships or special equipment is needed. 6. Check detailed weather reports Now, you can get hourly weather forecasts and satellite images with your smart TV. To get detailed reports on the weather and put it on your TV, download weather apps such as The Weather Channel, The Weather Network, and Accuweather (play.google.com). Some even offer live streams of weather reports across the globe. 7. Access your social media accounts If you can't live without checking your social media accounts, then you are in luck. Most smart TV providers like LG, Sony, and Samsung have dedicated social media apps such as Facebook and Twitter compatible with their respective platforms. Now, you will no longer have problems being left behind the latest trending news and gossip. 8. Listen to live AM/FM radio stations With your smart TV, you can now easily listen to your favorite talk show and music stations. To stream live AM/FM radio stations, get a radio app such as iHeart Radio and TuneIn. If you are not more of a radio person, then you can play podcasts directly on your smart TV with the use of Google Play or iTunes. Television experience for users has tremendously improved throughout the years. A remarkable improvement has been seen as regards its features and appearance since its first launch. And honestly, its development will never stop. There is still a lot to come in the near future, that's for sure.
