Sundresses

Out of 17,000 people polled, 78% believed dress codes for students and teens were necessary.

Whether you believe in dress codes or not, pretty sundresses should be your go-to for sweltering summer weather.

Read on to learn more about why this is the perfect summer outfit.

What’s History?

These little dresses have been popular since Lilly Pulitzer designed them in the 1960s. After a nervous breakdown, Ms. Pulitzer worked in her husband’s citrus grove selling oranges.

The work was hot and messy. Ms. Pulitzer designed and made some pretty, bright-colored and patterned dresses that were cool and wouldn’t show citrus stains.

The sundress outfit has gone through many iterations since then but has remained a popular summer staple.

Both versatile and practical, these dresses are great for every woman.

Why Sundresses?

Looking for something to wear on vacation? Sundresses are great for traveling.

They’re light and easy to pack. No need to fold.

Start at one end of the dress and tightly roll from bottom to top. You can take 10 sundresses in a suitcase and still have room for other travel essentials and accessories.

Accessorize Your Dress :

One of the best things about these little dresses is the many fun ways you can accessorize. A sundress is even suitable for the office if worn with the right accessories.

Here are a few ideas to try.

The Perfect Boyfriend Blazer :

What about the office?

Bare shoulders aren’t office attire, but that doesn’t mean you can’t wear that cute little dress anyway. Layer a versatile black boyfriend blazer over your dress.

Roll up the sleeves, put on a great watch, and little black pumps. Voila! Now you’re ready for the office.

Going out after work? Remove the blazer, and you’re ready for nighttime.

Matching Sweaters :

Tired of being cold when you go into air-conditioned stores, offices, and restaurants?

How about a cute matching sweater tied around your waist? A matching sweater looks great as an accessory. If you get cold, put it on and the outfit still looks great!

Platforms and Belts :

Meeting your boyfriend or husband for dinner?

Try a dressy belt and platform shoes. Have a white dress with black polka dots? Put on a classy floral belt and some black platform sandals for a dressed-up dinner look.

Fun Sneakers :

Going to an outdoor summer concert?

Sandals are cute, but they’re tough to walk in all day. Keep your feet comfortable with a great pair of sneakers.

Neutral statement sneakers pair well with a dark-colored, patterned sundress.

Try a Vest :

A vest is a perfect accessory to change it up.

Try a leather moto vest. Not into moto? Go ahead and pair with your favorite denim vest. A brightly colored, the waist-tie quarter-zip dress works great with a vest.

Purses and Hats :

Purses and hats are another way to change up your summer stand-bys. Try a bright bold yellow dress paired with a big straw hat and an oversized straw bag.

Add a pair of high-heeled sandals, a few neutral bracelets and you’re ready to go to the races all day.

Ready for Summer!

Now that you’ve got your perfect go-to summer sundresses, you’re ready to dive into the warm season.

Horse Riding

How Much are Horse Riding Lessons?

Riding horseback has long been seen as an activity exclusive to two classes, an aristocratic class with money to burn, and certain subsets of a working-class who use horse riding as part of a means of production. Today, fewer people than ever ride horses for work. These groups have been reduced to actual “cowboys” who act as guides and shepherds for cattle as they move from one part of open country to another, mounted police, park rangers, and others. This leaves us with today's more or less aristocratic class, the upper-middle class, and others who can afford to indulge in the hobby. The point here is, owning horses is expensive. They require housing, more or less depending on the climate where they are kept. Quality food for horses is more expensive than that intended for other large animals, and they need a large amount of land in order to maintain their mental and emotional well-being, as well as their physical health. Horse medicine and veterinary care are especially expensive. Horses are large animals whose primary adaptation of speed and size makes them prone to certain health risks. In addition to these costs, learning to ride horseback is also not for those of modest means. There's a good reason for this, and in this article, we shall endeavor to explain why. How Much Do Horseback Riding Lessons Cost? The general consensus on a ballpark price range is between $30 to $85 per hour and an annual average of about $4,000. Looking at the annual cost, the upper limit of which is roughly $4,420, that's really not an enormous cost when you consider the value of the skills you'll be learning, the real-world utility of it, and the other great benefits of horseback riding. Compared to the average cost of martial arts training, that's about twice what you can expect to pay. The reason we mention martial arts is that the difficulty and the amount of training to reach a journeyman's level of proficiency is about the same. Naturally, for a martial arts trainer to become proficient enough to teach, takes years of intensive study and practice. The same is true of horseback riding. The reason learning to ride horses is more expensive is likely to come down to the fact that costs are higher. It could be said that the gear for horseback riding is more expensive. Certainly, you could spend a huge amount of money on martial arts equipment. But at the end of the day, the only thing you need to learn martial arts is your health and your instructor. Maybe not even that if you watch enough Kung Fu theater. To ride horses, you need to see the care of the animal, their shelter, food, land requirements, and grooming. Over time, this can add up to a considerable amount of money. When you consider the fact that a trainer will need to maintain these costs, or have the costs maintained for them, then it's easy to see why they are as pricey as they are. Becoming a competent riding trainer will cost about as much as one year's worth of training times the number of years it takes to develop this competence. The Benefits of Learning to Ride Of course, there are some significant real-world benefits of knowing how to ride a horse. For a start, it's transportation. In some parts of the country, the Amish ride horses and use horse and buggy to get around town, so it's really not out of the question if you know what you're doing. There are also valuable health benefits. In a previous article, we discovered that an hour-long session of riding burns about half the amount of calories as running. Riders also gain strength training benefits as well as benefits of the poise and balance they can develop. Riding horses gives you a marvelous sense of freedom and power. It gets you out under the sun in the fresh air while getting that all-important connection with nature. Also, the benefits of developing a bond with your horse are not to be underestimated. A mindful and caring rider can become very close to a horse. Both the rider and the animal must learn to trust each other implicitly. As this mutual trust builds, you and your horse will build a relationship that is as meaningful as any human/animal friendship can be. Finally, riding horseback is also a mark of status. It is an elegant and beautiful pastime with a long and dignified history. Being a competent rider can be your foot in the door in clubs, competitive leagues, exclusive organizations, and more. All of these benefits give riders a wide range of beneficial effects to focus on. Are you a fitness-oriented rider? Do you crave freedom and mobility? Do you appreciate the joy that can be derived from developing a trust bond with a large, powerful, and beautiful creature? Or are you in it for the veneer of class and respectability? Perhaps a portion of all these reasons contributes to your interest. The Cost Spectrum Many people learn to ride by growing up on a farm, by having a friend or family member who permits them to use their horse and land to learn on. A trainer you know well may give you a discount. There are also fewer and more expensive trainers out there. The quality of your trainer matters greatly, especially if reputation and accomplishments are important to you. At the end of the day, your training is worth an investment in high-quality instruction. But, if your budget is tight, you may be able to find a more affordable option. Quality Riding Equipment is Key to Your Success You owe it to yourself and to your horse to invest in the right equipment. If you can afford to get into this beautiful hobby, you'll never regret having made the investment. Doing it right means taking the time to learn well and to learn in a well-advised manner. It also means treating your horse like a beloved friend, feeding and caring for them fully and properly. It can take years to become a competent equestrian. While you learn, the health and comfort of yourself and your horse will be best served by investing in top-quality horse riding gear. Cutting corners can lead to fatigue, injury, and reduce the chance that you and your animal will experience the best this hobby has to offer. High-quality riding equipment will not only promote the health and wellbeing of your horse, but a high-quality saddle, for example, can last for many years, and can even serve as a valuable family heirloom. Global Influence Of Cultures

How The Global Influence Of Cultures Is Growing?

The influence of various cultures across the globe is more pronounced than ever. The cross-cultural exchange linked by travel, media, and technology has led to a unique blend of global influences - some are more profound than others. Still, this growing influence shows the importance of cultural diversity. It's almost creating a global community. Read on to learn about the biggest global influences. What Is Cultural Globalization? Before talking about the major cultural impacts of globalization, we should first talk about what cultural globalization is in the first place. The process or phenomenon due to which one might feel that everyday life across countries is somewhat similar is a result of what we can call cultural globalization. Everywhere you go, you will feel that the new place also offers things that you get in your hometown.  THIS is what Cultural Globalization is all about. According to Study.com, this is the “process through which the culture of one country or society is spread to other countries.” If we think of it this way, the fact that it affects almost all parts and aspects of our lives goes without saying. And these effects can be seen in the identity, cuisine, language, as well as fashion across the world. How is the Global Influence of Cultures Growing? When it comes to the influence of globalization on culture, there are several ways in which it is growing. For instance, we can clearly see its impact on fashion, cuisine, and language across the world. If you are wondering how, we have you covered! Here are some of the ways in which there has been a growth in the global influence on culture: Cuisine Who doesn't love food?  The exchange of culinary traditions across borders is one of the biggest we'll discuss. People (especially in the West) love to explore cuisines from different parts of the world. For example, the rising interest in Middle Eastern cuisine introduces diners to the incredible flavors of spices like sumac and za'atar. Or, the fusion of cuisines, where elements from different culinary traditions are combined, is becoming more popular. Fusing Japanese with Mexican? Who could complain about that? These culinary fusions result in innovative and exciting dishes and symbolize the blending of cultures in an increasingly interconnected world. Fashion Fashion is one of the most popular, along with cuisine. And you'll definitely see fashion's global influence thanks to magazines like Vogue, which have specific magazines in each country. The global fashion industry increasingly incorporates elements from different cultural heritages. You'll see them showcased on international runways. From using African textiles to the influence of Indian embroidery in haute couture, fashion is a canvas for cultural storytelling, and we love it. Global Influence of Religion from Different Cultures Religion is one of the most interesting things - you don't have to be religious to see how the global influence of religion from different cultures is growing. It influences cultural identity, values, practices, and worldviews.  It's interesting to see how people explore and sometimes adopt religious practices outside their native traditions. For example, the principles of Buddhism have found resonance worldwide. It transcends its Asian origins to influence global spirituality and mindfulness practices.  Similarly, the moral and ethical teachings of religions - like Christianity and Islam - have followers and impacts far beyond their geographic and cultural centers. It's the same with growing Jewish communities in the US, especially in areas like New York, where shops selling items like Kiddush cups or a Havdalah set are increasing. Language Everyone should attempt to learn a second language - and some are more popular than others. For example, Spanish and Chinese Mandarin are two of the most common languages people attempt to learn. Chinese Mandarin is definitely one of the most complex ones! As people worldwide learn and adopt second or third languages, they begin to understand new cultures, perspectives, and communities. The number of things you learn along the way is fascinating. What's your favorite aspect of the global influence of cultures? We'd put our money on your answer being food, but it's interesting to explore the other aspects of cultures and how they're seeping into everyday life around the world. Still, food has to be the most popular, especially in the West using inspiration from the rest of the world.  Top 5 Most Influential Countries Globally You might have a list of countries in your head that YOU think are the most influential worldwide. However, how much of that is true? India is a country that is known for its culture, history, and food. Its entertainment industry is also fondly looked upon by most people. On the other hand, South Korea, with its boom in the fashion and entertainment industry and the massive Hallyu Wave, is something that might be on your mind. However, per the report, the United States is one of the most culturally influential countries globally. Here is a list of the top five countries that have an impact and how: 1. Italy The capital of Rome, Italy, is one of the most popular countries in the world. Tourists from all over the world visit Italy. They swoon over the architecture's beauty and the people's kindness. So many people often look up to the ideals and lifestyle of the United States. People often leave their countries to pursue their education and jobs. And this is just the beginning. Most people who have come to the US for the above reasons end up living here. This is just one of the many examples. But you get it! 4. Spain Spain is known for its robust nature. Its language and food are only a few of the things that can make people fall in love with the place.  You must have heard about the Tomatina festival.
