What to Do When You Feel that You are Getting Forgetful About Time

Published on: 07 June 2019 Last Updated on: 24 February 2020
Time

Time is essential for everyone because it cannot be prevented from moving or be taken back in case you forgot something to do that was due at a particular time. It is a different story if you happen to be forgetful about time. This problem is serious, and it can lead to unlikely circumstances like leaving all your work undone or failing to attend an important meeting with your clients. If you happen to experience any of these things, you should think of ways to prevent your forgetfulness from worsening.

Make a to-do list including the time to accomplish things:

To make yourself remember the things that you need to do, make a list that indicates when you need to perform your tasks at work or even at home. It is easier to do the list than exhausting your mind trying to remember everything that needs to be done. It will also help you to bring back your sharpness in responding within time according to the schedule.

Set the alarm on your watch:

To help you, even more, set your watch for an alert to remind you of the time and what you have forgotten to do. You do not need to bring an alarm clock with you. A simple wristwatch with alarm features on an Omega Nato strap can do it for you. You may also write down what you have done every time you hear the alarm to monitor any improvement in your forgetfulness.

Eat memory-enhancing foods:

eat memory foods

To complement your efforts to be more aware of the time, also consider eating foods that can help boost your memory. And since forgetfulness is the most common sign of Alzheimer’s disease, better face the fact that you are prone to this condition and think of ways to prevent it. Some foods can keep your brain healthy and can improve specific tasks, such as memory and concentration. Foods such as fatty fish, blueberries, pumpkin seeds, dark chocolate, nuts, oranges, and eggs are suitable for the brain, specifically to help boost the memory. A cup of coffee, green tea or turmeric is also beneficial for the brain.

Seek professional assistance:

Acceptance is an essential step to take if experiencing forgetfulness and seeking professional assistance can help prevent your condition from getting worse. If you open yourself to the possible consequences that your forgetfulness might lead to, then your chances of overcoming it are high. Just take the professional advice seriously and pay a regular visit to your mental health provider to monitor your development from the time you started your treatment.

Tell your family about your condition:

To easily cope with your ordeal, inform your family about your situation. They are the ones who can help you along the way until you get well.

All people are not spared from losing memory. What differs from one to the other is when forgetfulness will strike. But this can be prevented as long as you practice time consciousness and give your mind time to relax.

Contemporary Gowns for the Contemporary Bride

Today’s weddings have developed and evolved immensely. Churches aren’t standard – the garden wedding is way more popular. Or vows on the beach. Some couples skip the reception to save money, while others may hold it at a restaurant. Even the bridal gowns have shifted and evolved. Many brides still prefer to wear white, but there are cases where they veer towards champagne, blush, or even powder blue. Some brides go all out, with colorful inlays and dress detail. You might even find a bride in pants, and not necessarily at rainbow weddings. A fine example is Sammie, a ball-gown bridal dress by Rebecca Ingram. Its satiny shimmer, deep v-neck, and sleeveless shoulders mean the bride can wear it more than once, glowing at any evening event. No one will know it’s her wedding dress unless they attended her big day. Plus, it has a beaded belt, a deeply risqué back, and pockets, which you’d never find in a vintage wedding gown. Barely their bride Another sample is Mori Lee 6896. It comes in ivory and nude, and you can clearly glimpse her silhouette beneath her dress. This kind of daring is normal in a 21st-century bride, but would never have made it past an 80s mother-in-law. The name alone (nude!) would have called for cleansing prayers. It’s a gorgeous dress though. And illusion lace makes it more alluring. Then there’s Khatira Alina Kloe. This sheath dress would be at home on any red carpet, with its bareback, polo neckline, and trumpet skirt. The sleeveless design shows off the bride’s well-toned shoulders, while the body-hugging silhouette displays her every curve. This dress requires a six-month pre-wedding fitness regime to really do it justice. Meanwhile, for the bride that wears the pants in the house, there’s Maggie Sottero’s Milan. The lacy tulle jumpsuit is soft enough to feel fully feminine. And it comes with a train that attaches at the waist, so if you check out the bride from the back, it looks like a regular wedding dress. The pant legs do give her extra character and confidence on her big day though. Glamour and color Sometimes, the bride wants to dress a little … louder. This could be an A-line black gothic gown that she can wear anywhere. It’s definitely not a one-day-only wedding dress. It has an off-the-shoulder front-lacing corseted bodice over a flowing skirt. It goes up to Aussie Size 28, but it’s available as an online purchase, so you can key in your measurements for custom sizing. The same e-store has a red gothic wedding gown with black lace overlay and cap sleeves. It’s a mermaid silhouette, so it looks amazing on a curvy bride, though you may have to tuck in your bits. For something more demure but still modern, try a romantic, tiered ball gown. It’s white, with flowered shoulder straps and more applique flowers dotted around the dress. Must Have Appliances for a Healthier Life

A healthy lifestyle starts in the kitchen. Obviously enough, it is also very important to be active, but without proper nutrition, you cannot expect your body to look and feel good. Unfortunately, nowadays we are surrounded by unhealthy food, and most of us have come to depend on processed food. But things don’t have to be this way. There are simple ways in which you can develop some healthy eating habits, and with the right appliances, you can do this with minimum effort and without spending too much time in the kitchen. Here are a few basic appliances and tools that will help you eat better: 1. The bread maker : Whether it is normal, gluten-free or whole-wheat, most of us eat bread on a daily basis. The problem is that store-bought bread is full of preservatives and synthetic ingredients that most of us haven’t even heard of. Even the bread that comes from your local bakery can contain unhealthy ingredients. So, if you want to have full control over the ingredients that are used in your bread, consider investing in a quality bread maker. There are several models on the market, so do some research in order to find one that can handle your bread preferences. Go to breadmachinemom.com to compare the best bread makers of the moment, and see which one is better suited for you. 2. The Juicer : If you don’t know how to include more fruits and veggies in your diet, consider buying a quality juicer. This appliance will give you the opportunity to diversify your diet with countless fruits and vegetables, that might otherwise be difficult to include in your diet. However, be careful, as fruits contain a lot of fructose and you don’t want to exaggerate with them, so use more veggies in your juices and only use fruits for flavor. 3. The blender : A blender is an ideal solution for those busy mornings when you don’t have the time to prepare a healthy breakfast. With the blender, you can use any types of fruits and veggies, but unlike the juicer, the blender also gives you the opportunity to throw in other healthy ingredients like milk, yogurt and all sorts of spices. 4.  The steamer : Steaming is the healthiest way of cooking vegetables, aside from grilling, but you can’t always grill everything. However, unlike boiling, steaming allows the vegetables to cook properly, without losing most of their nutrients. Moreover, it is also a fast and convenient way to prepare a healthy meal. You can use it with vegetables, but also with grains, meat or seafood. Make sure to invest in a steamer with several shelves, so that you can’t prepare more dishes at the same time. 5. A kitchen scale : Whether or not you plan on losing weight, it is important to always be mindful of the size of your portions, and you can easily do this with a good kitchen scale. Moreover, with a scale, you can also experiment with sophisticated recipes that require fixed ingredient quantities. 6. A spiralizer : As delicious as pasta may be, it is not the healthiest food in the world, so if you are looking for a way to cut down on carbs, a spiralizer is just what you need. From cucumbers to zucchini and potatoes, you can spiralize mostly any vegetable, and use it as a substitute for pasta or noodles, or simply as a way to make your salads look more appetizing. 7. An electric grill : As we already mentioned, grilling is one of the healthiest ways to prepare food. Not only is it healthy, but grilling also retains most of the food’s flavor. The problem with traditional grills is that you depend on good weather to use them, and you also need an outdoor space. However, with an electric grill, you can grill indoors whenever you want to enjoy a healthy, flavorful meal. Read Also: When You’re Buying Furs, Get The Best 4 Tips For Choosing A Good Kitchen Tap

Eco-Friendly Wedding

How to Organize an Eco-Friendly Wedding with Zero Waste?

Are you going to be hitched? Congratulations! However, don’t you want to host a wedding that costs you less financially and ecologically safe too? India is known for its elaborate grand weddings. The Big Fat Indian Wedding is, no doubt, loads of fun, but also an average wedding is responsible for producing a massive amount of waste. Weddings are time for celebration and reunion, but our grand affair can come at a significant cost to the Environment. Exotic flowers, wedding cards, non-biodegradable decorations and continual use of thermocol and plastic, tissue paper and leftover food end up straight in the trash after the marriage ceremony is performed. Not only are these a burden to earth but they also put a big hole in your pocket. Being a responsible inhabitant of the Earth, we must reduce the waste we produce and even reuse and recycle it later. Many people are beginning to realize the importance of hosting an eco-friendly wedding with no to zero waste. This initiative, which started in the West, is now trending in India as well. Bengaluru has seen quite a good number of such eco-friendly wedding, which are setting examples for others to follow. A sustainable, zero-waste and vegan wedding is one of the trending buzzwords. Besides, it has become increasingly necessary to take an eco-friendly approach to the wedding ceremony in the current scenario when environmental pollution is increasing at a massive scale. How to Organize an Eco-Friendly Wedding with Zero Waste: Start your journey of a beautiful life-long relation in an environment-friendly way. Here is how you can organize an eco-friendly wedding with zero-waste. 1. Ditch the Printed Invitation Cards: The first thing you can do to reduce waste is by ditching the conventionally used printed invitation cards and using the internet to send invites. You can send invites through the internet using email groups or can create a wedding website free of cost to share your wedding plans, progress, and anecdotes that will build excitement for the big day. This way will help you reserve printed invitations only for elders, and people who do not have access to the internet. 2. Say Hello to Local flowers: Another way to reduce waste and expense is by choosing the local homegrown flowers for your wedding decoration. The exotic flowers you might be lusting after are not only expensive but come covered in layers of plastic. With some creativity, you can pull off a fantastic wedding decor with local flowers, like wedding bouquets from Ling's Moment, and help reduce waste. Also, the flowers like marigolds can later be used for plantation. You can request your guests not to bring bouquets or gifts wrapped in plastic to get them involved in your initiative. 3. Say No to Plastic, Thermocol, and Glitter in Decor: Replace plastic and thermocol with flowers, bamboo, and cloth ribbon for decoration. Wedding decorations are more polluting than we can imagine. The shiny and glittery name of the bride and groom on thermocol at the entrance, confetti, dry fruits on plates covered in glossy plastic to name a few. Choose recyclable fabrics or even burlap in place of thermocol and instead of using the flex boards you can use a cloth or recycled wooden banners. Also, the couple’s name at the entry board can be written on the chalkboard using flowers and on the wooden placard. 4. Replace the Disposable Cutlery with the Reusable Ones: On average, a person uses approximately five disposables during the meal. Replacing the plastic, paper, and other disposables with reusable cutlery like steel is a smart way to reduce waste. Besides, it is also convenient and hygienic. 5. Say No to Packed or Bottled water: Replace the packed water with clean filtered water served in steel or glass tumblers will go a long way in reducing water wastage. 6. Replace Tissue papers with Cloth napkins and Towels: It would be encouraging to use the cloth napkins and towels instead of tissue papers in the wedding, as it not only reduces waste but also helps in cutting down the cleaning task after the ceremony is done. 7. Don’t go heavy on Lighting: Opting for a day wedding instead of the night will not only go undemanding on your budget but will also avoid burdening the already overburdened resources. So, go for the day wedding and ditch the night wedding to prevent the use of ample lighting and save the environment. 8. Use Cotton or Jute Bags for Return Gifts: Give gifts to your guests in jute or cotton bags or woven baskets. Steer away from Chinese jute or PPP (polypropylene plastic) bags, which have flooded the market in the guise of ‘jute’. You can also opt to gift seed balls, saplings, seeds, books, and other environment-friendly gifts.
